Three Ways to Style a Pleather Skirt

Fall is Here!

Now that fall is officially here, it’s time for snow, ice and pumpkin spice! As far as clothing goes, it’s time to bring out one of my favorite fall pieces–the (p)leather skirt! What I love so much about the (p)leather skirt is that you can dress it up, or down. For anyone who is unsure about which essentials they need for fall, investing in one of these skirts is the way to go because it never seems to go out of style. I want to share my three fave ways to rock timeless trend.

1. Blouse and Booties

I like the idea of pairing a dressy blouse with a pair of booties because it’s almost like the “mullet” of outfits–business at the top, and bad-ass rebel at the bottom. I chose a bootie that matches the material of my skirt. This outfit would be just as cute with a pair or velvet booties. Don’t be afraid to play with textures and textiles this fall season. I picked a blouse with a fun pattern and paired it with a colorful faux fur vest to add texture.

2. I Mean Business

I love any excuse to wear a blazer and that’s no exception when it comes to wearing it with a pleather skirt. I really love this style because it’s edgy and professional at the same time, which fits my personal style. I’m definitely not a pants suit type of girl so I live for dressy outfits that don’t force me to stray away from what makes me feel the most confident.

3. Cute and Casual

The pleather skirt is not a piece that requires over-thinking. It’s effortless to put together a nice outfit that you’ll look great in–even if you decide to wear it with your favorite t-shirt! I like to mix dressy with casual whenever I can, so I chose a comfortable pair of slip-on heels. This style would look just as great if you wanted to be extra comfy and wear a light sneaker like Chuck Taylors or Vans.

If you haven’t already, add a pleather skirt to your fall repertoire this year. The trendy opportunities are endless and it never goes out of style.
