Independence Day: Blue and White Stripes

The blue and white stripes trend seems to be everywhere and I love it so much, that I think the pattern should have its’ own name—I’d call it Milkmaid’s Dream. The reason I like this trend so much is because it’s so versatile! I got this Tunic dress from Marshall’s and it’s SUPER adaptable because this piece can be worn as a dress, with skinny jeans and even as a bathing suit cover up. I chose to wear this as a dress and I added a dash of color with my Chinese Laundry gladiator pom-pom sandals from Francesca’s.

I am the proud owner of two Milkmaid’s Dream pieces and whether you pair this with some white pants, comfy leggings or tuck it loosely into a skirt—this print is a winner and it adds lots of “oomph” to anything you wear with it. Refinery29 wrote a great blog about the many, many ways you can rock this trend. See the inspiration and read the article here.

These photos were taken in Deep Ellum and you can find this wall at 2730 Commerce Street, Dallas, Texas 75226. If you want some straight on shots, I recommend going in the morning because the street parking in front of the mural can get pretty full.

I hope you all have a fabulous Independence Day! –Candice XOXO
